Southeast Tarrant Transportation Partnership (SETT)
The second largest county in the region in terms of population, Tarrant County has seen explosive growth in the last decade. It is projected that, in relation to the twelve counties in the region, Tarrant County will experience the largest magnitude of growth in the next 25 years. With a population of over 1.4 million in 2000, the County saw an increase to just over 1.8 million in 2010 and it is projected that the population will top 2.8 million by 2035. Job growth is also projected to increase with the County realizing a 50% employment growth rate during the period between 2012 and 2035. Each community within Tarrant County is experiencing growth, which brings new residents, new jobs and more traffic to an already crowded corridor.
The Southeast Tarrant County Transportation Partnership shall direct its efforts to the following activities:
Working collaboratively with residents, community and business leaders, to meet the transportation and development needs of Southeast Tarrant County.
Advocating our legislature and local governing bodies to promote strategies for funding projects aimed at improving transportation opportunities and resources within the Tarrant County region.
Creating cohesive coordination among our member body to implement transportation plans, programs and projects that enhance transportation opportunities within the Southeast Tarrant County region.
